Female Kegal Exercises with and without Sex Toys
24 August 2008
What are kegal exercises and why should women do them:
Kegal exercises were designed to strengthen the pubococcydeus muscles (PC muscles). Strengthening your PC muscles can serve multiple functions:
1. Helps prevent any urinary leaks during coughing, sneezing, etc...
2. Assists in reducing pain and suffering during child birth and helps restore everything back afterwards.
3. Provides enhanced sexual experience for both the woman and man. The woman gets more powerful orgasms and the man enjoys the feeling when the woman tightens her muscles around him.
How to perform Kegal exercises:
The very first step it to actually locate your PC muscles, which is quite easily done. All you need to do is stop the flow of urination without any body movement. The muscles used to do this are your PC muscles.
There are many different ways to exercise your PC muscles but the most basic is the squeeze-and-release method. At first just tighten and release over and over again until you can't anymore. You can do this while driving, watching TV, walking or at work and nobody will ever know!
When it gets easy to tighten and release 20 times you can make it more difficult by holding each squeeze for 5 or more seconds, and release over a period of 5 seconds, making each rep a total of 10 or more seconds.
You can also bring your parter in on the fun. One way to do this is have him place two fingers inside you, then he opens them like a pair of scissors while you try to keep your vagina tightened.
Another option with your male partner is tightening your PC muscles over and over again while he is inside you, improving the difference he notices over time.
Kegal exercises with sex toys:
There are sex toys that are made to be used by women trying to strengthen their PC muscles. These sex toys are typically 2 or more balls attached to each other, with a couple smaller balls inside them. There are various ways to use these balls, one way is to place them into the vagina and go for a walk, the act of holding them in place will be great exercise for you. You can also place them inside you and either you or your partner can lightly pull on the string, while it is being pulled you must tighten as much as possible and keep them from being removed. You can also hold them inside you while using another sex toy, such as a clitoral stimulator for added fun or have your partner pleasure you manually or orally while holding on to the balls.
Remember to always clean all your sex toys before and after use!
Cleaning Your Dildos, Vibrators and Other Sex Toys
17 August 2008
Nobody likes germs, bacteria or viruses crawling all over your stuff, that's why people wash their hands and their dishes. Your sex toys should be no different, especially for those people who sometimes share their vibrators and dildos. Any number of viruses and bacteria can be transferred from one person to another through shared sex toys including, HIV, Hepatitis and more.
So, what are some good methods for cleaning your favorite sex toys? Well, there's not a lot of official documentation on the subject but through a little research and common sense you can come to a few conclusions.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and the rule stil applies when in the world of clean sex toys. Condoms can easily be used on your dildos and vibrators too prevent germs from getting on them in the first place. Now, this can be a very smart move for those who tend to share their sex toys, especially if one of the users has any type of std. All you have to do is take off the condom, toss it and give your toy a quick wipe down, and your done! However, this might seem a bit excessive for those who don't share sex toys and you're right, it really is.
Another great method for cleaning your products is with the disinfectants that are made for sex toys. When you look at these you can usually see what they are cabable of killing, they will usually state that they kill HIV, Hep, etc... You also want to look for the term 'bactericidal' or 'antibacterial'. When using this type of cleaner make sure you read the directions as the time required to dispach with any undesirables on your vibrator or dildo will differ depending on the product, some will take as little as 30 seconds some will take up to 5 minutes. Also pay attention to the safety concerns on getting the cleaner on your skin.
So what do you do when you're out of cleaner but still need to clean your sex toys? Well, scrubbing them with soap and water is always a good bet, this works best on products with harder, smoother surfaces but can be an effective tool for dissinfecting almost any type of sex toy. Other options can include a trip through the dishwasher on the top rack or boiling them (but make sure your sex toy can handle the heat first so you don't ruin it).
Remember, always read the product information that came with your sex toy for information on how to properly clean it so as not to damage it.
Buying Sex Toys as Gifts for Men
08 August 2008
Buying a sex toy for your man can be a great idea for a special occasion or just for fun. Maybe you're into using sex toys to enhance your sex life already and want to try something new or maybe you've never tried them and are interested in a little expansion of your sexual repertoire.
Before you go out a start buying gifts for him, there are a few adult products that you may want to avoid. These can include penis extenders, pumps and even cock rings, as these sex toys may make your man feel as if he's un able to properly satisfy you.
So, if you've decided to buy your guy a sex toy you need to consider a few questions. Does he already own any sex toys? Do you use sex toys in your relationship already? Do you think he will be open to new ideas in bed? Do you want to get him a sex toy for personal use or for use with you? What's your price range?
By quickly answering these questions you will be able to decide which type of sex toy is right for him. If he's already a connoisseur of sex toys and you use them regularly in your relationship, maybe something more personal for him would be appropriate. These types of items can include pocket pals and sexy vaginas and can vary in price from $5 - $100's, the more expensive are usually direct molds from famous porn stars and are made of incredibly high quality and realistic materials. Or you can even consider buying a kit and make a mold of your own private region, so even when you're not there with him, you can still provide him entertainment!
If you're more looking for a sex toy that can be used together then your choices may be a bit more limited. The big question to ask here is if he enjoys or might be open to anal play, and if you're open to providing it. I discussed anal sex about a week ago, it might be good to read that if you're new to anal. If he is open to anal then there are a lot of anal sex toys out there that you can choose from. Options include, anal beads for a more powerful climax to anal probes and plugs. And if it turns out that he really enjoys it you might want to think about moving up to trying out a strap-on!
Another consideration is BDSM, light BDSM can be a lot of fun and roles can easily be switched up for variety. You don't have to go out and by whips, chains and ball gags, there are beginner BDSM kits that include everything you'll need for light, bondage fun.
Other sex toys and adult products to consider for use by both of you are sex games and massage oils. Sex games vary from various board games and card games to full role-playing games and ideas. Role-playing can be a lot of fun, I discuss this in more detail on our role playing page. You should also consider some massage oils with promise of using them on him in the near future.
There are definitely choices out there for getting your man a sex toys, but remember to avoid sex toys such as penis pumps, cock rings and penis extenders unless you're absolutely sure that he would want one.
"Quickies"
03 August 2008
There's a lot of hype out there about long, 'marathon sex', about the need for extended foreplay to get things going, using sex toys and changing positions 35 times to extend the session. Now, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with extended sexual escapades, they definitely have their place in any relationship. However, don't forget about the unsung hero, the 'quickie'.
Many men feel that most women don't want these speedy encounters, or that women can't be satisfied by them. This idea, as unfortunately common as it is, can't be further from the truth. But on the opposite side of the coin, there are many women out there who feel as though asking for an intense sexual reunion against the fridge or in the supply closet will make them seem easy or dirty. I beg of you, don't think this way.
The average woman, while masturbating, can achieve orgasm in under three minutes, that same average woman can reach the same goal in a bit under eight minutes through sex. Plus, the emotional intensity of a quickie in the back seat of a car, with the additional excitement of possibly getting caught will often assist the participants in arriving at the end result even faster.
There are a number of popular places to get busy, including:
• On the kitchen table
• In the back of a car
• In the office
• In a public restroom (a clean one, of course)
• In the woods on a hike
• Just about anywhere you get the urge
So remember, especially for you ladies out there, be vocal, let your partner know when you're in the mood and be creative! Sometimes the best sex is quickie sex in a random, quasi-public place at 3:25pm.
Intro to Anal Sex
01 August 2008
Everybody at some point should try anal sex if you haven't, it has so much to offer from new sensations to new positions, not to mention all the new toys out there for you to enjoy. I've met people, men and women, who are embarrassed to try anal play, there is a lot of social influence here. But you shouldn't feel ashamed or embarrassed at all, it's perfectly natural and something that is common all over the world. So remember, anal sex is not only practiced by gay men and straight men shouldn't feel gay by trying it, trust me, it's a lot of fun.
So, if you've decided to give anal sex a try you mustn't just jump right in and try the big toys, and for the ladies, should you allow your well-endowed man to just go for it. Not preparing could definitely cause you a lot of discomfort and pain, preventing any further attempts. Here's a few things to remember:
1. The first thing you need to remember is lube, have plenty of lube on hand, you can even find special anal lube that dulls the nerves just a small amount, helping those first-timers.
2. Start small, use a finger (well lubed of course), or a small anal probe (since they tend to be thinner than the anal plugs).
3. Remember to communicate how it feels, and that is key, if you're uncomfortable at all with it and working with a partner, let them know, back off a bit and try again.
4. Don't force it. Try to relax, at first you may clench up, just relax those muscles.
5. Have your partner provide you, or provide yourself, some pleasure. Receiving vaginal or penile pleasure will help you relax and help you enjoy the new sensations by keeping you fully aroused.
As time passes and anal becomes more 'old hat' for you, go out and get some new anal sex toys. There are butt plugs, probes, beads and more to choose from, so give 'em a try.
